Latest addition to the already jam-packed lineup at Sonar in Barcelona are Swedish electro-pop weirdos The Knife.

Word is slowly spreading about their March long player ‘Silent Shout’ and fans of the album will have a rare chance to catch the elusive duo in a live setting at Sonar. RA is not sure how the crooked techno-pop of the record will translate onto the stage, but the event promises to be intriguing, not in the least because it’s a chance to see siblings Olof Dreijer and Karin Dreijer Andersson do their full lyrca bodysuit thing under the Spanish summer sun.

For those of a more techno bent, Olof Dreijer will cool off in the evening in his alter-ego guise as DJ Coolof spinning alongside tall and blonde countrymen Jesper Dahlbäck, Joel Mull, John Dahlbäck, Tomas Andersson (live), Zoo Brazil, and Özgur Can at a Swedish showcase at Club Nitsa.

For a taste of what DJ Coolof is likely to spin, check out his March Top 10.

1 - Dettmann/Klock - Dawning
2 - Sarah Goldfarb - La Demission Du Coach
3 - Marek Bois - Boisboisbois
4 - Mathias Kaden - Pentaton EP
5 - Ryan Crosson – Artists Have Bad Haircuts
6 - PanPot - Pious Sin EP
7 - Diego Capri/Andrea Gentile - Minimal Configuration
8 - Sleeparchive - Radio Transmission EP
9 - Marc Ashken - Acinom EP
10 - John Tejada - The End of it All

Third single from ‘Silent Shout’ is also forthcoming with remix duties this time taken on by Trentemöller and Radioslave.

The Knife play the Escenario Hall on Thursday, June 15th at 7 p.m.
