  • Jon Gaiser aka Fraktion is back on minimal label Resopal Red for his latest 12" 'This Never Works'. Jon Gaiser is the newest face to emerge from Richie Hawtin's M_nus collective but Resopal Red actually spotted him first, asking him to remix Billy Dalessandro's 'Come with Me' in November 2005, which later popped up on Matthew Dear's 'Fabric 27'. A Detroit native shaped by the Plus8 events of the nineties, Jon has been releasing minimal techno on both labels since late 2005. Earlier this year he unveiled his new Fraktion guise on Resopal Red. RA asked Jon to explain the difference between his Fraktion and Gaiser releases.
"Fraktion is an alias which tends to be more scatterbrained and impulsive, whereas those under Gaiser are more focused and driven by a certain atmospheric feeling."
Jon's latest 12" as Fraktion 'This Never Works' features three cuts heavy on the power grooves and his trademark pumping bass. Expect Jon's alterego to pop up again on Minus soon. He's currently working on new material for his live performances and the follow-up to his debut Minus release 'And Answers'. Fraktion 'This Never Works' is out now on Resopal Red.
