  • Are breaks the sound of tomorrow? Organisers of the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), Holland's electronic music conference and festival, think so. Breaks heavyweights Soul of Man, Drummatic Twins and Krafty Kuts are early confirmations for this year's ADE. The ADE is an electronic music conference and festival which takes place over three days and three nights in October. The night program is an adventure in club-hopping with parties scheduled at thirty venues around Amsterdam including 11, Escape, Melkweg, Panama, Paradiso and the Supperclub. The daytime program includes panels, discussions and workshops at the Felix Meritis. "Want to know what tomorrow sounds like?" is the ethos behind the ADE's music program and breaks fans will be delighted with Fingerlickin' and Against the Grain confirmed to host label showcases with artists Soul of Man, Drummatic Twins and Krafty Kuts. Norman Cook's Southern Fried label will also host a night with Cagedbaby, Grandabob plus Cook himself (as Mighty Dub Katz) set to spin. But the main drawcards for international visitors considering attending this year's ADE are the big four: Sven Väth, Ricardo Villalobos, John Digweed and Paul Van Dyk. A total of 300 DJs and live acts are expected to play at this year's ADE so keep checking their website for new line-up announcements. The Amsterdam Dance Event takes place October 19-21, 2006.
