Ministry of Sound crank out another 'Sessions' CD at the end of August. Next up in the compilation series is Swedish house maestro
Axwell.
DJ and producer Axwell bubbled up from the underground Swedish house scene in early 2005 when his track 'Feel the Vibe' was licenced to Ministry of Sound offshoot Data Records. The track received heavy props by Little Louie Vega, Ben Watt and Pete Tong but even before then he'd assembled a healthy remix CV with remixes on big house labels Soulfuric and suSU. Follow-up 'Watch the Sunrise' was licenced to Positiva and Axwell has since remixed everyone from Roger Sanchez to popstars Usher and N.E.R.D.
'Sessions' is Axwell's second mix compilation for Ministry of Sound and follows on from CD2 of the 'Clubbers Guide to 2006' which he mixed for MoS Australia. Disc one of 'Sessions' is subtitled 'The Club' and includes big dancefloor cuts by Kid Creme, Bob Sinclar and Kurd Maverick. Disc two, 'The Villa' is geared at the house party with tracks from Fairmont, Paolo Mojo, Akabu and Guy Gerber.
