A new Melbourne club Famous at the site of the former QBH will open in September. It looks set to add some seediness to the Melbourne clubbing scene with trashy disco and electrohouse.
Sporting a logo, using the same font seen on David Guetta's 'F**ck me I'm Famous' flyers and a musical ethos of "futuristicsexyasf*ckdirtydiscotrashhouse", new venue Famous is the brainchild of Melbourne clubbing force Future Entertainment. Well actually, it's not an entirely new club instead will operate at the site of the former QBH.
Famous launches on Saturday, September 9th with ubiquitous Future Entertainment jocks including Mark James, Goodwill and Sean Quinn on the bill. But it's the following week when Famous actually lives up to its name; Princess Superstar brings her eclectic mix of hip-hop/classic rock/electro house/mash-up style to the revitalised venue on Queensbridge Street. Other international DJs booked to play Famous in the future include DJ Touche, Jimmy Van M and Spencer Marker.
Famous is where the former QBH used to be at 1 Queensbridge Street, Southbank, Melbourne. It opens its doors at 10 p.m. on Saturday, September 9th, 2006.
