WMC 2010 : Shelborne Hotel

Swedish crows The Knife fly over the Atlantic for their debut American shows in New York, San Francisco and L.A.

Word has spread about the Knife’s long player ‘Silent Shout’ and the tour presents stateside fans of the album with a rare chance to see how the precise techno-pop of the album translates into a live setting. Originally concieved as a recording outfit, The Knife's live shows promise to add multimedia spice to the music with visuals supplied by artist Andreas Nilsson.

Recent performances at Sonar in Barcelona were sold out with hundreds of disappointed fans left squeezed out of the venue.

The New York gig will be part of the CMJ Music Festival, the yearly band festival that happens every November in the city.

US Tour Dates
11-01 New York, NY - Webster Hall
11-03 San Francisco, CA - Mezzanine
11-04 Los Angeles, CA - El Rey Theater

Third single from ‘Silent Shout’ ‘We Share Our Mother’s Health’ is out now and features remixes by Trentemöller and Radio Slave.comment 4 Comments

Mon, 28 Aug 2006Yes, I've thought about going to one of the Cali shows, thanks for the El Rey info. Or I should just let it be. Deep Cuts is probably my favorite album by them, but Silent Shout has some serious killer tracks: Like A Pen, Marble House, Silent Shout, We Share Our Mother's Health. Both cds for me are in close competition.
