Giant are the promoters responsible for massively popularising trance and progressive house in Los Angeles via their Giant Village parties and Avaland nights at Hollywood superclub Avalon.
Latest info on the Giant website reveals they'll be moving to Vanguard next month for a new Saturday weekly beginning September 9th, 2006. Giant have had a long history with Avalon co-promoting and running many events at the venue including Sasha's Fundacion residency and the recent Instant Live night. They've already locked down Sasha and John Digweed for this coming New Year's Eve.
DJs booked to spin at the new nights at Vanguard include Danny Howells, Gabriel & Dresden, the DFA, Kaskade, Sharam from Deep Dish and Lee Burridge, who will spin on the opening night.
