Progressive house jock Hernan Cattaneo is still lapping the globe in support of his recent comp 'Sequential'. This year he begins his Labour Day weekend campaign at Crobar New York. [details]

Bill Patrick vs Butane at Element
Sept 1

Robots member Bill Patrick returns from his summer stint in Ibiza for a back-to-back spin off against minimal techno producer and Alphahouse label boss Butane. The gig will be both a welcome back party for Bill and a send-off for Butane, who is moving to Berlin. [details]

Christian Smith at Unified

Paxahau 8 Year Anniversary

DEMF saviours Paxahau celebrate their eighth birthday this weekend with three parties to carry you through the weekend. On Saturday they host the Detroit News/Comcast stage of the Arts Beats Eats Festival from 6 p.m. -11 p.m. where you can catch Steve Bug flogging his sexy minimal tech and deep house. [details] The Poker Flat boss also fronts the afterparty at ilounge. [details]

On Sunday, the action continues at Currents where Paxahau have pulled together a cracker of a line-up: dub techno pioneers Rhythm & Sound, Perlon's minimal madman Ark, Christian Smith, Spectral Sound's unstoppable labelmates Ryan Elliott and Matthew Dear plus M_nus rep Clark Warner all on a Funktion-One soundsytem. This one starts at 4 p.m. so set your alarm clock if you plan on taking a nap after Bug. [details]

The eighth Montreal Eclectic Groove Festival runs from Friday to Monday with events happening in Parc Jean Drapeau and at participating clubs. Metropolis hosts Ellen Allien & Apparat and Ed Banger proteges Feadz & Uffie on Saturday [details] and legendary art-funksters ESG on Sunday night [details]. Spain's Ferenc released his first full length long player on Kompakt last year to plenty of fan fare.
