Good things come to those who wait, and boutique festival Bestival in the second week of September wraps up summer with a top-notch line-up that includes the Pet Shop Boys, Claro Intelecto, Ricardo Villalobos, Herbert, Sasha, Lindstrom & Prins Thomas and Ulrich Schnauss. This is your final chance to sleep under the stars... on the Isle of Wight.

Bestival is the final big camping and music festival for the summer. It takes place over three days in the beautiful leafy Robin Hill Country Park on the Isle of Wight. Curated by Radio 1 DJ supremo Rob da Bank, the music is spread over eight stages and includes tons of local talent.

Electronic buffs can look forward to DJ sets and performances by Annie Mac, Cagedbaby, Claro Intelecto, DJ Yoda, Dub Kult, Erol Alkan, Jimpster, Grandadbob, Herbert, Jazzanova, Justice, Kode 9, Kraak & Smaak, Lindstrom & Prins Thomas, Martinez, My Robot Friend, Nathan Fake, Pet Shop Boys, Plump DJs, Ricardo Villalobos, Scissor Sisters, Will Saul and more.

And don't go expecting to hear the same old festival anthems. X-Press2's Ashley Beedle will spin reggae, Carl Cox will play a nostalgic old skool set and Bestival website says "Sasha promises a very rare eclectic set".

But it's not just for dance heads. Artists playing live on the island include Lily Allen, Hot Chip, Brian Eno, Devendra Banhart, Scritti Politti, The Fall - you get the idea. It'd be easier to list who isn't playing.

There's also the Grand Procession fancy dress parade on the Saturday. Last year 10,000 Bestival-goers made the Guinness Book of World Records by kitting themselves out as witches, cowboys, astronauts, mariachi men and more. Organisers hope to smash that record again so don't forget to pack your lycra Superman tights or leather dominatrix rig in with the tent pegs.

So, Bestival then. With a massive lineup like that, it can't be short for boutique festival. It must mean best festival, surely?

Bestival takes place in the Robin Hill Country Park, Newport on the Isle of Wight September 8-10, 2006.
