We've already ordered the limo and practised gushing in front of the mirror, so all we need now is for you guys and your extended families to cast your vote. For us!

The BT Digital Music Awards is an awards ceremony celebrating the best music stuff on digital platforms in the UK. For the first time, RA has made the shortlist in the Best Music Community category and we’re prouder than a kitten who has dragged home his first mouse. The shortlisted nominees were decided by a panel of judges and RA is up against Napster, Last.FM, Ninja Tune, Slash Music and MySpace, none of whom we’ve heard of so it’s a shoe in, obviously.

Last year clocked over half a million voters, so to defeat the MySpace hordes we propose a cunning strategy of, well, you casting your vote. Go on. You know you want to. It’s easy. Keen RA fans might also want to set up anonymous proxy robot mailers and vote for us four times every second from now until October.

Other categories include Best Electronic Artist or DJ, Best Podcast, Best Music Store, Best Music Magazine and People's Choice Awards for Best Music Site and Best Music Blog but you don’t need to bother about all that.

Winners in all BT Digital Music Awards categories will be announced at a ceremony on October 3rd at the Roundhouse in Camden, London. The awards will also be broadcast on Channel 4 so if we get on the telly, we’ll wave!
