Bristol house duo Deepgroove release their first compilation on Darren Emerson's Underwater label later this month. 'Solo' includes singles and remixes by John Dahlback, Oxia, Booka Shade, Black Strobe, Steve Angello and Johannes Heil.
Deepgroove are house producers Grayson Shipley and Lee Pattison who've released a string of singles and remixes on UK labels including Cuba, Whoop!, Toolroom, Southern Fried and Kingsize. After remixing Martin Eyerer & Chopstick's 'She Loves It' for Underwater, the label invited the pair to mix the first edition of the label's new 'Solo' compilation series.
'Solo' is Deepgroove's first mix CD and a quick glance at the tracklist reveals the Bristol pair are the latest UK duo to be bitten by the electrohouse bug. Besides Deepgroove single 'Girls & Boys' and edits of Hardfloor, Steve Angello and Cevin Fisher, the double CD mix includes remixes and tracks from Elektrochemie, Booka Shade, Tiefschwarz, Martin Eyerer & Chopstick and Black Strobe.
"These two CDs are a snapshot of what's setting our pulses racing at the moment; a blurring of the boundaries between techno, house, minimal & next level, bleep-driven rave," says Deepgroove.
