British dance music veteran Jon Carter tours Australia next month in support of his latest mix for Sydney nightclub Chinese Laundry.
Jon Carter came to the forefront of British dance music in the mid-nineties as a member of Monkey Mafia who were one of the early pioneers of big beat. As a solo producer Carter has since reworked bands such as Gorillaz, U2 and The Happy Mondays. He's also released original productions on labels Bugged Out and Wall of Sound. As a DJ, he regularly spins at London venues Ministry of Sound and Turnmills.
Next month, Carter tours Australia in support of a new mix CD series for Sydney nightclub Chinese Laundry. Carter was invited to mix disc one of the inaugural 'Chinese Laundry' compilation after playing the club in March. The second disc has been mixed by club resident Matt Nugent.
