The Promoters of Field Day [Fuzzy] have being busy at it again assuring Sydney have something to look forward to in the near future. Fuzzy gives a little bio on each:

Joey Negro
Sunday January 27th - Tickets $45
Quite simply, Joey Negro (aka. Dave Lee) is the king of disco. Using more aliases than a Russian spy, he has rocked dancefloors recently with hits such as Jakatta's 'American Dream' and Raiven Maize's 'The Real Life'. After growing up a disco kid in the late '70s and early '80s, Lee set up Republic Records in the UK in 1988, won the title of best UK remixer in 1992 and went on to run the Z Records label which has featured the likes of Basement Jaxx and Blaze. As a DJ, he has mixed the latest in the nite:life series, regularly playing Ministry of Sound and Bar Rhumba. With a discography longer than your arm, Joey has had a hand in your favourite house tunes without you ever knowing, revelling in his mysterious studio presence. Don't miss the devoted connoisseur that single-handedly started the disco house
revolution.

Rennie Pilgrem
Thursday January 31st - Tickets $25
Having both coined the term 'nu skool breaks' and invented the sound itself,
Rennie Pilgrem is the breakbeat kingpin. As part of the breakbeat trinity with Tayo and Adam Freeland he created the legendary Friction night. His own label, TCR was voted the World's Best Breakbeat Label by DJ Mag and features the likes of Koma & Bones. As a producer, Rennie has been responsible for contemporary faves such as 'Like No Other (a collaboration with Arthur Baker) and also rave classics like Rhythm Section's 'Comin' On Strong' (1989) and 'A Place Called Acid' (1995). He was voted Number 1 beats Remixer by DJ magazine and has remixed artists such as Soul of Man, Meat Katie and Quivver. Rennie is currently finishing off the follow up album to his 'Selected Werks' debut. Returning after a beat-heavy show in 2000, don't miss the main who created the futuristic sounds of today that constitute what you listen to.

Scratch Perverts
Saturday February 23rd - The Metro, George St
For one night only, the UK's premier turntablist duo comprising Primecuts and Tony Vegas slice it up over six decks at The Metro. Their trick set will showcase deft turntable manipulation with tight juggles and precise scratches, whilst their club set will encompass breaks, funk and rare groove. The duo hold down six residences in the UK at premier clubs such as Fabric. Individually, Prime Cuts is the 1999/2000 ITF World Scratching Champion and the 1998 UK DMC Champion. Tony Vegas is the 1999 UK DMC Champion, the 1997 ITF Eastern Hemisphere Scratching Champion and he holds the 1998 Grandmaster Flash Award for Excellence. As a duo, The Scratch Perverts were the 1999/2001 DMC Team World Champions and the 1998 ITF European Team Champions. Don't miss a party-rockin' session from a sensational duo who know how to rock the crowd with a mixture of technical wizardry and good old solid breakdowns.
