RA still hasn't unpacked its bags from this year's Winter Music Conference (WMC) but dates for the Miami WMC 2007 have just been announced. DJs, artists, clubbers and dance music industry professionals will converge on South Beach and Downtown Miami from March 20 - March 25, 2007.
The Miami WMC is a week of day and night parties which attracts clubbers, artists, DJs and dance music industry professionals from over sixty countries to South Beach and Downtown Miami each year in March. There's also an actual conference with panels, discussions and workshops but that's hardly the drawcard. Organisers have just announced that the WMC 2007 will take place at the Miami Beach Resort & Spa from March 20 - 25, 2007 with its flagship event the Ultra Music Festival 09 confirmed for Saturday, March 24, 2007. Next year will be the twenty-second year the WMC has been held.
The RA WMC forum is already buzzing. And if that's any sort of indication, then interest in heading to Miami for the conference week is already high on peoples' travel plans for 2007. Will you be there?
WMC organisers had their thunder stolen this year by the announcement of the Global Gathering Festival and a new rival conference, the latter which never eventuated, a week earlier. Global Gathering snared some of the artists usually seen at the Ultra Music Festival, resulting in clubbers and artists arriving and leaving a little earlier than in past years. This year it looks like the WMC has realised the early bird catches the worm.
