Big man of techno Carl Cox plays Sydney's Luna Park this New Year's Eve. Indie-disco poppers The Presets are also on the bill.

Latest British jock to be heading down under this New Year's Eve is Carl Cox, who will spin at the Luna Park amusement park on the Sydney Harbour. The gig will be the second time Cox has played Sydney on NYE; he also spun on Bondi Beach for the millennium countdown. Cox will be joined by a live set from Modular hipsters The Presets plus electro-disco trio Sydney crew Sneaky Sound System. The partytastic Bang Gang DJs should also ensure the Luna Park entrance isn't the only thing with an idiot grin on the night.

Tickets are onwards and upwards of $149 but hey, it does buy you unlimited free rides on white-knuckle rides rides like the Wild Mouse, Ranger, UFO and Tumble Bug. Just check your pockets before boarding, kids.
