The DFA dance rock duo have announced a release date for their second studio album. ‘Sound of Silver’ will be released mid-March next year.
While LCD Soundsystem are a six-man live unit, the studio work is the product of two minds, DFA main men James Murphy and Tim Goldsworthy. ‘Sound of Silver’ follows up LCD’s self-titled debut from 2005, which spawned the sing-along single ‘Tribulations’, remixed by Lindstrom and Tiga.
No word on singles or remixes yet, but those who can’t wait till March will have to make do with LCD Soundsystem’s latest release, a 45-minute single especially commissioned for jogging.
