- Fancy a party where you don’t need ice in your gin and tonic? Thirty DJs including Magda, Chris Liebing and Thomas Schumacher make the trek to the Austrian peaks to rave on snow in December. No, not that kind of snow. Rave on Snow is in its fifth year at Saalbach Hinterglemm, one of the biggest ski resorts in Austria. While the main stage is exposed to the elements, and there’s a party at Schattberg Gipfel peak 2,000m above sea level, there’s also 48-hours of parties happening both inside and outside at ten spaces around the resort. Inside is heated, sources tell RA. Chris Liebing, Pascal FEOS, Oliver Huntemann, Thomas Schumacher, Heiko Laux, Stephan Bodzin, Extrawelt, Karotte, Gabriel Ananda, Oliver Koletzki, M.A.N.D.Y, Magda, Martinez and Martin Eyerer to name a few. Patrick Chardronnet and Alexander Kowalski are also booked to play live sets, if they can warm up their fingers enough to turn the knobs. The rave is run by Partysan, the German promoters behind such other outdoor party pursuits as the annual Thaibreak bash in Thailand and yachting trips n’ dancing around the Turkish Riviera with DJs such as Matthias Tanzmann and Guido Schneider. After two nights dancing just to keep your warm, Thai beaches and the Turkish sun would look mighty appealing, we think.
