Coachella 2007 lineup has been finalised! Dance acts at the desert fest include Björk, DJ Shadow, Tiësto, Faithless, Richie Hawtin, Soulwax, Justice, Infected Mushroom, Happy Mondays and LCD Soundsystem. Tickets for the festival go on sale from January 27th.
As with previous years, many of the DJs will be spinning in the cavernous dance tent away from the heat of the sun. The 2007 lineup includes trance from Paul Van Dyk, Tiësto, Faithless and Infected Mushroom, dance-rock from Justice and MSTRKRFT, techno from Richie Hawtin, breaks from Evil Nine, electro from Felix Da Housecat and house from DJ Heather.
Live electronic/dance acts on the bill include headliners Björk, Air and the Happy Mondays, as well as LCD Soundsystem, Spank Rock, DJ Shadow, Peaches, Hot Chip, The Rapture, !!!, Digitalism, Konono No.1, Soulwax, Junior Boys and Klaxons.
Rock and pop acts include Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Arcade Fire, The Decemberists, Lily Allen, the Arctic Monkeys, Sonic Youth, Jarvis Cocker and Crowded House to name a few. Hip-hop artists lined up include The Roots, Lupe Fiasco, Pharaohe Monche, Ghostface Killah and the Coup.
This year the festival has added an extra day – it’s running from April 27th-30th. Ticket prices haven’t been announced yet, but sources tell RA a three-day pass will set you back $250. Single day passes will also be available. Check RA events details for the full 125-act lineup.
