Latest mix CD by vocal house duo Copyright brings the vibe of the Winter Music Conference to your stereo. 'In the House Miami 2007' is released at the end of the month.
Copyright are British house duo Sam Holt and Gavin Mill who make big, Pacha-style vocal house with gospel and Afro influences for labels such as Defected and King Street Sounds, as well as their own stable Copyright Productions.
Their latest release is a mix which reflects the music heard at the poolside parties and the South Beach clubs in Miami during the WMC. "We've been going to the conference for eight or nine years," says Holt. "You go to one club and it's banging techy stuff, in another it's really soulful. It's a real mix but it’s all really great music, and that's what we've tried to do with this comp as well."
The triple-CD package is made up of two mixed CDs of current and new house tracks as well as a retrospective unmixed CD of past big conference hits. The first two discs include recent tracks by Mr. V, Dennis Ferrer, Fedde Le Grand and Bob Sinclar, the new Soul Central single 'Time after Time' and Copyright's own collaboration with Lisa Millet 'Don't Bring Me Down'. Third CD packs in older WMC anthems such as Green Velvet's 'Answering Machine' and Deep Dish's 'Stay Gold'.
