Big dance stars hand in Moby remixes for ‘Go: The Very Best Of Moby Remixed’. The CD collection will be released in early March.

Some of the most well known names in dance music make the cut for Moby’s remix collection, including Armand Van Helden, Ferry Corsten, Mylo and Trentemoller. Noticeably absent, however, is the winner from the recent Go Remix Contest, which beat out all competition to be voted ‘Most Outrageous Remix Contest Scam’ in RA’s 2006 end of year wrap up. Thumbs down to the outspoken New York politico-greenie-activist for charging fans $5 to download the parts and then awarding fifth place a $10 music store voucher.

Fans of the successful megastar can also bid on this drawing to help one of the Moby’s sick friends pay his hospital bills. Bidding starts at $5.

Grammy Award winner Moby is well known for his 1999 album ‘Play’, which sold over ten million copies. It was also noted as the first album to commercially license all of its tracks to movie soundtracks and television programs. In a 2005 posting on his website, Moby theorized that his eagerness to license his music is a result of "growing up in poverty".
