  • Two progressive minds meet on the latest single on Shinichi Records. 'Connected' is out this month. 'Connected' is Sultan's latest single with Ned Shepard from progressive breaks outfit Digital Witchcraft. "Ned is like the younger brother I never had,” says Sultan. “On a musical level we read each other perfectly. I can be in one room playing my guitar, he can be in another playing the piano and just by listening to what we are both playing we can flow and play along with each other for hours. It’s not every day that you meet someone who you can really connect with both mentally and musically.” The pair first hooked up four years ago at one of Sultan's DJ gigs, after which they began producing together as Jiva [Bedrock Breaks, Swift, Release], a project which combined Sultan's background in rock, Ned's piano skills and a mutual love of melody. 'Connected' features the male vocals of Stereomovers and has already popped up on compilations by Sharam from Deep Dish and Dave Seaman. The package comes with remixes courtesy of Spider & Legaz and Ignas. Sultan and Ned Shepard have another single, 'Together We Rise', due out on Shinichi soon. The duo are also currently producing an album for Nadia Ali, best known as the vocalist on the 2001 progressive anthem 'Rapture' by iio. You can also catch Sultan on the airwaves on March 26, 2007, when his new radio show 'Connected Live' starts on Di.fm. Sultan & Ned Shepard 'Connected' is out now on Shinichi.
