The upstart Australian dance-rock label releases a 2CD label comp featuring tracks by Klaxons, The Gossip, Hot Chip and MSTRKRFT. ‘Leave Them All Behind 2’ is in stores now.

The first ‘Leave Them All Behind’ comp in 2005 hinted that something was up down under, and now there’s a second installment, featuring the dozens of names that defined indie dancefloors in 2006. Spread over two discs, one mixed by The Bang Gang Deejays, and one unmixed, ‘Leave Them All Behind 2’ sports tracks and remixes by the likes of Wolfmother, Hot Chip, The Gossip, The Rapture, Klaxons, MSTRKRFT, Franz Ferdinand, New Young Pony Club and CSS. You've got the indie afro, the bands are all your MySpace friends, so how's about coughing up the money for the CD?

If your in a party mood, Modular are also celebrating the comp’s release with big nights throughout the UK, Paris, Berlin, Rome, New York, Chicago, LA, Tokyo and dates downunder too. Check RA event details for more info - expect star-studded lineups.

Thu, 12 Apr 2007Totally gutted that the MIXED cd was a bit 'same old' but like the 1st release it's the UNMIXED that i always prefer.

had never heard SHAKES, but that track i'm totally loving! and the Tim Goldsworthy Remix is quality too.

I think if a CD has just one tune that you haven't got or really dig then it's totally worth it!

*there's a few different tracks on the UK & AUS releases. my catalogue number as opposed to the one here is MODCD056 not MODCD051.

peace,

Jack! Who?

Tue, 10 Apr 2007I actually really like this double CD, and so what if its not the sophisticated release we were expecting.

I tend to think of this release as more of a Party Album, all of my friends have loved it when I played it to them.

I agree it could be a little stronger but hey thats the way life is.

Tue, 10 Apr 2007Got to agree with the 2/5 - Was expecting more from this release, but i guess it is a 'best of' album and will sell well as a result.
