Zabiela and Fanciulli to launch One+One at WMC

James Zabiela and Nic Fanciulli launch their new project One+One in Miami this month. A double mix CD by the pair is also on the way in early April.

'One+One' equals decks 'n' effects whizkid James Zabiela and Nic Fanciulli, owner of Saved Records as well as one half of the Buick Project, who have rejigged artists such as Tiefschwarz, Kylie and Underworld. Each has racked up 12"s and compilations on labels such as Renaissance but after spinning back2back in Miami and Ibiza last year, the pair have decided to team up in the studio and DJ booth.

First up for the duo is a double CD compilation 'One+One', which melds breaks (HiFi Bugs), house (Carl Finlow), electrohouse (Jurgens) and techno (Phil Kieran) with their own solo cuts, re-edits of Crazy Penis and Deep Dish as well as tracks by up-and-comers Shane Berry and Simon Baker. It also includes the first two tracks they've made together 'Rover/No Pressure'.

Zabiela and Fanciulli will launch the album at the WMC at an invitation only boat party as well as a club night at The Fifth on Friday, March 23, 2007. RA is giving away one pair of tickets today to the One+One launch party at The Fifth.

Following the album launch in Miami, the pair will embark on a worldwide tour including an extensive bus tour of the States as well as festival and club dates in the UK, Ibiza, Asia and Australia.

'One + One' is released on Ministry of Sound on April 2, 2007.

Sun, 29 Apr 2007Its way to Zabiela influenced with very mechanic sounds and structures.. I mean, some of the tracks float perfectly together, but theres no dynamics in terms of grooves and percussion..
