Second album from versatile house producer Phonique packs in twenty-seven brand new cuts. 'Good Idea' arrives in May.

Phonique, aka Michael Vater, is best known for his wide-ranging and accessible house made with production partner Alex Kruger for labels such as Dessous, Crosstown Rebels, Simple and Poker Flat. His debut album 'Identification' (2004) produced the big crossover singles 'The Red Dress' (remixed by Tiefschwarz), '99 & A Half' and 'For the Time Being' (with Erlend Øye) - the latter was even re-released on progressive house output Renaissance. Recently he's set up his own label Ladies & Gentlemen.

Second album 'Good Idea' is a much more song-based affair with vocalists such as Richard Davis, Ruben, Erlend Øye and Ian Whitelaw appearing on ten of the fourteen tracks, which range from nu-disco ('Rio Nights') and pop ('Thinking of You') to hip hop ('Computer Kidz') and broken beat ('Worked It Out').

A limited edition version of the album also comes with a bonus DJ mix by Phonique featuring twelve more new songs including Phonique collaborations with Gui Boratto, Steve Bug, Vincenzo and Zoo Brazil as well as a remix for Badmouth, aka Mazi and Cass. Eight of the tracks on the mix CD will also be released on 2 x 12"s.
