Luna City Express mix the catalogue of Leipzig-based deep house label Moon Harbour. ‘Inhouse Vol. 2’ is out this week.

Moon Harbour is headed up by DJ and producer Matthias Tanzmann, who started up the imprint releasing deep house back in 2000. The label has moved onto more minimal-inflected productions over the last couple of years, especially from Tanzmann himself and label regular Daniel Stefanik, but not too far it seems. “The new compilation has a deep house reference as well,” Tanzmann told RA. “The eight tracks on the vinyl really build a bridge between our deep house background and the modern minimal side of house.”

The CD is mixed by Berlin-based deep house newcomers Luna City Express, who have released three vinyls on Tanzmann’s label. “I asked them to do it because they are one of our main projects on the label and their sound is very housey,” says Tanzmann. “So it was perfect match. It is also a good chance to get them international attention as a DJ team. This is their first mix CD release.”

The release comes in an unmixed vinyl edition of eight new Moon Harbour tracks, and a CD mix of new and recent Moon Harbour tracks blended together by Luna City Express.

To celebrate the release of ‘Inhouse Vol. 2’, RA is offering a track from the album as an exclusive download to readers – the subterranean ‘Para Siempre’ by Luna City Express. Check it out.

Sat, 28 Apr 2007I ordered this the day it came out and it's brilliant. my kind of deep, tech, and minimal house. matthias tanzmann knows his stuff, whether it comes to DJing, producing, or compiling tunes for his excellent label. great release, highly recommended.
