Mobilee kicks off a new mix CD series with deep house scholar Sebo K making the selection. ‘Back Up Vol. 1’ will be released in May.

Berlin label Mobilee is most often associated with minimal, but there has also been a deeper, housier impulse lurking in its shadows. The label's secret house weapon is DJ and producer Sebo K, responsible for last year’s vocal house track ‘Moved’ on the label, and that’s the vibe that ‘Back Up Vol. 1’ promises to explore. Think strings (Efdemin’s ‘Just a Track’, Ray Valioso’s ‘Got the Strings’), vocal house (Samim’s big remix of ‘Hay Consuelo’, ‘The Sun Can’t Compare’), older deep house (Kerri Chandler) newer deep house (John Daly) as well as a few psychotropic transitions (‘Elephant Parade’) to keep you on your toes.

Sebo K has also been busy on the production front - look out for new remixes of Martin Landsky, King Roc and John Dahlbäck as well as his single ‘Transit’, produced with his frequent collaborator Metro, which arrives on Get Physical on April 24th.

Back Up Vol. 1’ tracklist

1 Kerri Chandler – Digital Love Affair
2 John Daly – Do It
3 Efdemin – Just a Track
4 Jimpster – Seventh Wave
5 Ray Valioso – Got the Strings
6 Larry Heard feat. Mr. White – The Sun Can’t Compare
7 GummiHz – Isolate (Sebo K remix)
8 Minilogue – Elephant Parade
9 Kevin Gorman – Black & White (Alex Under remix)
10 Pier Bucci – Hay Consuelo (Samim remix)
11 Marco Resmann – Gouache
12 Ferrer & Sydenham – Timbuktu (Âme remix)

‘Back Up Vol. 1’ mixed by Sebo K will be released on Mobilee on May 21st, 2007.

You can catch Sebo K out in the clubs over the next month or so. Check RA Events for full details and lineups. comment 3 Comments
