A million ravers are expected to flood the streets of Zürich for this year's Street Parade. But there's plenty of action to be had away from the crowds too.

Modelled on the Berlin Love Parade, the Zürich Street Parade has been happening every August since 1992. Trance, progressive and techno has typically been the parade's main staple, and this year it's no different: Paul Van Dyk, Richie Hawtin, Sander Kleinenberg, James Zabiela, Nic Fanciulli and Sander van Doorn will all spin sets on the fixed stage at Bürkliplatz.

But there's plenty of action off the main parade as well with clubs and promoters in Zürich hosting parties and mini-festivals from Thursday night through to Monday morning. DekaDance hosts three nights with Sven Vath, Ricardo Villalobos, Dandy Jack and Bruno Pronsato; the Lethargy Festival runs from Friday night to Monday with Alex Smoke, Gui Boratto, Redshape and the Wighnomy Bros; and Moving City is bringing in Jeff Mills, Chris Liebing vs Speedy J, Gabriel Ananda, Radio Slave and more.
