Brothers Ali and Basti Schwarz raid the vaults of influential house label Strictly Rhythm for their latest compilation. 'Strictly Tiefschwarz' arrives in September.

Tiefschwarz might have rode in on electrohouse, but dig a little deeper and you'll find US house roots. One of their first nights in Stuttgart even used to bring over the likes of Masters at Work and Tony Humphries to spin. No surprises then that Strictly Rhythm have hooked up with the brothers for a mix of early Tiefschwarz inspirations from the classic label.

'Strictly Tiefschwarz' is a triple disc compilation that revisits the early nineties section of the label's catalogue. "We wanted to focus more on the stuff that was not so obvious, and perhaps a little more bizarre, so we more-or-less focused on the period of 1990 to 1993," explains Basti.

The first disc is a mix of seventeen Strictly cuts including early tracks from DJ Pierre, Roger Sanchez, Kenny Dope, Louie Vega and Roy Davis Jr. Discs two and three include all the tracks in a DJ-friendly umixed format.

Also watch out for a Tiefschwarz remix of Phuture's 'Rise From Your Grave' due for release on SR in the near future.
