Layo & Bushwacka! mix records from the past and the present on the latest Global Underground compilation. 'GU33: Rio' arrives next month.

Layo Paskin and Matthew "Bushwacka!" Benjamin first hooked up in the late nineties when mutual friend Mr. C suggested they collaborate on a track for his End Recordings label. The pair have since released three albums, often melding dance music with element of blues, jazz and live instrumentation. The duo also DJ together, regularly spinning at The End in London as well as at venues such as the Panorama Bar in Berlin, Womb in Tokyo and Space in Ibiza.

Next up the pair get behind the decks for a mix inspired by a recent gig on the beach in Rio, Brazil. For the first time in the GU series, the mix splits records from the past and the present onto two discs, with disc one featuring older house tracks from Marshall Jefferson, Kym Mazelle, L'il Louis and Pierre and disc two tapping into some of today's hot producers such as Martin Buttrich, Stefan Goldmann, Guy Gerber and Henrik Schwarz.
