Poker Flat chief Steve Bug steps up to mix the latest installment in the Fabric series. 'Fabric 37' arrives in November.

For his Fabric mix, Bug promises a close representation of a Bug night in Farringdon: "I wanted to make the Fabric mix atmospheric, with the occasional track where things go off," he says. "When I was doing the 'Bugnology' series, I was trying to compile all the records I was playing at that time. However, the mix for Fabric is much more influenced by my sets there: it's a perfect snapshot of how I play at the club.”

Straddling the line between house and techno, the mix features cuts from his Poker Flat/Dessous/Audiomatique catalogues; deep house from Karizma, Matthias Harbour and Brendan Moeller; as well as more minimal offerings from Lee Curtiss, Chloe and Rejected.

Mon, 17 Mar 2008I was at Fuse on Saturday and heard Steve Bug and he was just incredible. He's one of the only DJs I know that keeps the flow steady and uses a bit of restraint. He played after Dan Berkson & James What, who were wonderful, and instead of just banging it out he started out with some SIS - Orgsa, Lee Jones - Aria (Tiger Stripes Mix), that new Jeff Samuel tune on Poker Flat and Radar on Diynamic. It was a great Poker Flat label night and you can hear from the tunes that the label is just all... More
