  • Metro Area and Tim Sweeney see in the New Year at Studio B...three days late. Slap You in Public's David Bruno and Music for Robots' Blair Carswell are teaming up once again for a People Don't Dance No More party this Friday. This time, though, it's a bit special: it's the one-year anniversary and the boys have called in a couple of favors and gotten Metro Area (Environ) and Tim Sweeney (DFA, Beats in Space) to man the decks. Fresh off their latest triumph, the boogie-influenced Metro Area 7 12-inch, Morgan Geist and Darshan Jesrani will undoubtedly be ready to tear the floor up. They promise "unfettered electronic eclecticism and a steady groove," so bring your dancing shoes.
