Hercules and Love Affair, the new disco throwback project of Andrew Butler is about to get a full-length release on DFA Records.
Butler, the writing muscle behind the project, celebrates the hedonistic thrills of ‘70s disco on the album, which is produced by Tim Goldsworthy from DFA and features additional vocals from Kim Ann, Nomi and Antony Hegarty of the Mercury Prize-winning project
I Am a Bird Now. The album will be preceded by the single, ‘Blind,’ a track which features Hegarty’s uniquely masculine/feminine vocals.

Hercules and Love Affair will be released via EMI/DFA in Europe on March 10, 2008. No release date has been set yet for the United States.
