Versatile electro hipster Joakim is headlining Studio B's monthly People Don't Dance No More party.

Joakim will be playing a live p.a with his Ectoplasmic Band with their eclectic blend of house, funk and everything-else-under-the-sun. Meanwhile, recent RA podcaster and DFA house-whiz kid Juan Maclean takes over the decks for his first NYC appearance of 2008. Also on the bill: DJ sets from Andy Butler from Hercules and Love Affair and party resident Robot Blair from the Music For Robots blog. Can't go wrong.

Fri, 21 Mar 2008I was there during the resident Dj's set, and it was hardly a 'bouncy mix.' Rather, a disconnected and divested from the crowd mix... Studio B is definitely doing a good job bringing DJs in, but it is still in the transformation phase from the 'Polish club' I'm afraid.
