  • The first names for this year’s Movement festival in Detroit have been announced. First names out of the bag include techno DJs Carl Craig, Cassy, Dubfire, Terrence Parker and Zip. There’ll also be live sets from Alex Under, Joris Voorn, DBX, Speedy J, Guillaume & The Coutu Dumonts and Cobblestone Jazz. There are also a few surprises on the initial bill: Moby will be playing a DJ set, glitch act Girl Talk will be playing live, Nintendo houser James Zabiela and Grammy winner Benny Benassi are both coming to Detroit. The DEMF is the big festival on the American techno calendar. Held in the center of Detroit on Memorial Day weekend, each year the three-day party attracts thousands of techno fans to the city where the genre was born.
