New on Wagon Repair is a debut artist album from The Mole, aka Canadian DJ and producer Colin De La Plante. ‘As High As The Sky’ is out in late May.

A member of The Modern Deep Left Quartet with his buddies Cobblestone Jazz, The Mole is a veteran of the Canadian dance scene with numerous appearance at Mutek and seven years of residency at Montreal club Laika under his belt. His recent 12-inch ‘Baby You’re The One’, which has been something of a hit for The Mole, arrives on the album in an edited form, alongside various shades of percussive house, disco and tech house across eleven tracks.

Thu, 04 Feb 2010great output it seems all vibes natural and harmonious.Good capacity to pass from a eletronic progressive track like 'Baby you are the one' to a groovy folk track like 'Hey Girl' or a minimal eletronic vibes like 'Alice i need him'.He completed the album with a experimental slowly track 'When it tastes so good you desereve it' .Myth!

Pretty much love all the tracks on here. funky like a drummer in places, deep & dark like Miss Lovetts pie shop oven & techy like erm the brand of trainers this for me builds like Lego.

The Mole, plaudits ...you deserve it!

Sat, 06 Sep 2008what can i say... colin is the toughest guy i know. if you all knew what it took for him to get to this point, you'd hear years of sweat and resilience in his work. this man would give you the shirt off his back. viva la mole!

Sun, 22 Jun 2008Gotta agree with Princepope. This is a pretty good record but no where near as essential as a 5/5 makes it seem. Gas reissue is worth a 5/5. Move D and B. Brunn is worth a 5/5. This is not of the same cloth or caliber. Still a good review though by the author and a fun record if not a necessary purchase.
