Fabric - London

British house label Junior Boy's Own relaunches next month with a compilation Junior Boy's Own Odyssey mixed by founders Terry Farley and Steve Hall.

Born out of a fanzine set up by among others Andrew Weatherall, Terry Farley and Steve Hall (of The Misterons), Junior Boy's Own was one of the UK's most influential house labels in the nineties, picking up first on acts such as Underworld, The Chemical Brothers and X-Press 2.

In a new deal struck with Defected, JBO will reissue their entire back catalogue digitally with a view to relaunching the A&R side of the label in the near future.

"We will be getting our current fave remixers and producers to update some classics as 12" releases and then start putting out new stuff both digitally and on vinyl," says Farley. "It's time for us to get off our lazy rested arses and get JBO back up where it belongs."

Junior Boys Own Odyssey includes tracks by Pete Heller and Terry Farley's Roach Motel and Fire Island projects as well as classic remixes of X-Press 2 and Black Science Orchestra by Plastikman, Ian Pooley and Tedd Patterson. A second unmixed disc contains the same eleven tracks in full for those who have worn out their originals.

Tracklist

01 Los Jugaderos - What You Doing To This Girl? (Norman's Edit)
02 Black Science Orchestra - Philadelphia (Party Mix)
03 7th Movement - Odyssey (Dub Star Discomix)
04 D-Day - D-Day (Uptown Anthem Mix)
05 Fire Island - White Powder Dreams (Murk's Funky Green Dub)
