UNKLE’s fourth full length record is "not a new album in the usual sense, but new music that has been inspired by the moving image." End Titles…Stories for Film will be released in July.

James Lavelle is well known for his interest in movies – he’s even released a collection of film soundtracks that have inspired him titled Edit Music for a Film. End Titles is similarly cinematic: the opening and closing tracks are from a documentary about director Abel Ferrara (Bad Lieutenant) titled Odyssey in Rome, there is one UNKLE track sourced from a Spike Jonze skate video titled Fully Flared, and ‘Trouble In Paradise (Variation On A Theme)’ is from an UNKLE-soundtracked television advertisement.

The 22 track album features contributions from Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age), Black Mountain, James Petralli (White Denim), Joel Cadbury (South), and James Griffith (from UNKLE's touring band) among others.

Tue, 17 Jun 2008UNKLE really do divide people. Or maybe it's just Lavelle. I thought War Stories was good - i always have respect for a band who produce something really different with each album.

Wed, 11 Jun 2008You can count the number of good (some to be fair are great) U.N.K.L.E tunes on one hand, also their last album (should I say his) was rubbish. So as regards this ing

Tue, 10 Jun 2008It's always a pleasure to discover in which new different ways the UNKLE move. Everytime a surprise, i can't forget singles like Reign, F.E.A.R. or In A State. Or album like ' edit music for a film', which bring me in different films and states at the same time. Fantastic
