- The producer has made a house album composed solely of noises from his own mouth.
San Francisco producer Dave Aju will release his debut full-length on Circus Company in October.
Coming off the success of his quartet of singles for Circus Company, Aju will try his hand at a full-length. This is no ordinary long player, though. In the same vein as concept-lover Matthew Herbert, Aju has made Open Wide entirely with his sounds from his mouth. And, like Björk's Medulla, the results are a fascinating breed of avant-garde electronic music that still bumps. In fact, unless you knew of the concept, in many cases you'd be hard-pressed to tell that anything "strange" was going on at all. The release will come in CD and vinyl versions, with the CD version tacking on Luciano's remix of lead single "Crazy Place" on to the end.
