- The Audika label has found yet another compilation's worth of material from the Russell archives.
Avant disco hero Arthur Russell will see even more of his voluminous archives released in October.
Russell has seen a renewal of interest in the past few years due to the work of Audika Records, which has taken up the challenge of packaging and releasing the studio albums, experiments, demos and just about anything else that the producer worked on throughout his life. Love Is Overtaking Me isn't electronic per se, though. In fact, the label is billing it as "a 21-track compilation of demos and home recordings that will showcase Russell’s love for pop, folk and country."
In other Russell news, the Matt Wolf's documentary about the producer, Wild Combination, will see release in November.

Audika will release Love Is Overtaking Me on October 28, 2008 in the United States. It will hit stores one day earlier in the UK on Rough Trade.
