- The clubbing brand will unveil a new series of backward-looking mixes in October, beginning with Tony Humphries.
Ministry of Sound will debut a new series starting in October called "Moments In House."
As acid house celebrates its 20th anniversary, it seems like everyone is looking backward. Count Ministry of Sound among them, as they've enlisted Tony Humphries to compile and mix a set that captures the sound of his residency at the club in 1993, a time when house was just a tad more soulful and Mixmag was still putting people like Method Man on the cover. Early '90s stalwarts such as Masters At Work, X Press 2 and Romanthony pop up throughout the two CD mix, which is carefully documented with notes from DJ historian Bill Brewster.
