  • Pianist Francesco Tristano will once again don his experimental electronic hat this fall. The Carl Craig collaborator has enlisted none other than Moritz von Oswald for post-production duties on his newest adventure into sound, Auricle Bio On. inFiné is calling the result "a must-have record for any sound research enthusiast" and while we haven't heard the thing, we're betting that the PR in this case is spot-on: With Tristano exploring the outer reaches of piano music and Moritz adding his distinctive accents, this should be one odd, discomfiting and enlightening look into the world of sound design. Tristano, who is perhaps most well-known for his stunning and plaintive covers of techno classics on his debut inFiné album Not for Piano, will have the honor of seeing this release be the first in a series by inFiné called "Hybrid," which purports to be a "new collection of twisted and subversive releases, precisely aimed at rekindling one's enthusiasm for music creation."
