Big Day Out 2009 announces initial lineup

- Big Day Out have announced the first round of artists to play the iconic Australian tour, now in its 17th year. As expected, Neil Young will headline the festival, but for electronic fans, the name of interest is none other than The Prodigy. The celebrated trio will bring their high-energy live show to Australia along with Pendulum, TV On The Radio, Simian Mobile Disco and Cut Copy among others. The tour, as always, will make its way throughout the country over the course of two weeks, visiting Auckland, Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. Tickets go on sale from Wednesday 8 October.
