The annual
Red Bull Music Academy has kicked off its tenth anniversary edition in Barcelona.
The event, which brings together aspiring producers and dance music luminaries for an intense period of workshops, lectures and performances, has invaded Sonar's home city this year for the festivities. Currently in its second "term"—the academy does two fortnight terms—attendees have been treated to chats with
Richie Hawtin, performances from
Rhythm & Sound and can look forward to a closing night set from
I-F and Intergalactic Gary.
Only a select few get in, but you can still join in the fun by listening live to Red Bull Music Academy Radio each weeknight from 7 pm to 10 pm (CET) or taking a look at the
ever-growing lecture archive, which includes recent interviews with
Move D and
Appleblim.
Or you can keep checking this space: RA is in Barna this year and will feature a full recap through the eyes of three participants in November, recounting their experiences at the Academy.
