  • Our reviews sound so much better lately, don't they?

  • If you've been anywhere near RA's music reviews lately, you may have noticed a tiny change. Juno, the UK record store that "powers" both album and singles reviews on the site has introduced a new function on the site where you can preview nearly any track instantly. Late in August, the store rolled out its new Portable Juno Player and they've been using that technology to create a playlist for each 12-inch or album that the site chooses to write up. (That they have in stock, that is.) But, as you might expect, the store didn't build the thing simply to suit our needs. Instead, you can export this technology for your own use as well. The device, which you can check out for yourself over at the site allows you to create a player for any site that you might be using (MySpace, blogspot, your own dedicated website, etc.) that can hold more than 100 tracks. What's more, if you're an artist—for example—you never need to touch it again. It automatically updates with your own releases. Word to artists/labels/punters seeking to replace their MySpace player, though: Please set the thing to not play when the webpage loads. We can't think of anything more annoying than to be greeted by a blasting techno track when we're sneaking in our daily fill of The Jonas Brothers.
