Jeff Mills, Jamie Jones, Âme and Dixon are set to make Manchester's Warehouse Project their own this weekend.

The latest in a series of heralded events features The Wizard himself taking to the decks, playing tracks for thirty seconds all night long in what will surely be one of the most fast-paced sets of the year in Manchester. With Jo and Al of Hot Chip set to play an equally as eclectic set and rising star Jamie Jones set to support, along with the deep house sounds of Âme and Dixon getting you properly lathered up, it probably doesn't even bear mentioning that there will be a special guest as well. Does it? Well, consider yourself warned anyway.

Mon, 03 Nov 2008Mills was ok, not the best i've seen him, only really showed off the last 20 mins. Jaime Jones killed it, really adaptable DJ. Dixon and Ame, just wicked as you'd expect.

I can only wish I was at that night. looked a bit special. haven't heard Millsy in ages.

Sun, 02 Nov 2008Sounds like a pretty serious night, though what has happened to old Millsy? He played some quite good stuff at Space too but again mixing wasn't that hot. How's that happened then? One of the best mixers around to that? I am suspicious that he's just sending out a look a likey to do his gigs.
Saw him at sonar a few years back, ended up at the front of the stage, on his knees, hammering the shit out of a 909.
If only he'd done that at space and blown away all those muppets doing the pokey... More

MonkeyBeaverwrote
Sun, 02 Nov 2008Quality night. Mills' tune selection was quality but he was leaving them on for a fair while, maybe he's dropped the 2 minutes and bang philosophy. Some seriously suspect mixing as well. Still enjoyed it but I'm sure he was better when I've seen him in the past. Jamie Jones, Dixon and Ame were all bang on. Gutted that Dixon clashed with Ewan Pearson.

Sat, 01 Nov 2008I'd be really intrested to hear reac's to Mills set. Saw him at space closing, it was gash. None of his usual mixing flair, none of the frantic 30 secs a track. Not sure if he just couldn't be arsed cos the crowd were sh*te or what. I even started wondering if it was really him.
Please let me know we haven't lost another hero!
