- Due for release this month, Brendon Moeller's latest features Spaceape and Paul St. Hilaire.
Brendon Moeller's Beat Pharmacy project return with a new album later this month, entitled Wikkid Times.
Wikkid Times is Moeller's fourth album under the moniker, and is set for release on Francois K's Wave Music label. While previous full-lengths have only featured a sprinkling of vocals across their duration, ten of the eleven tracks on this one feature full vocals. After appearances on Moeller's Earthly Delights and Constant Pressure, Paul St. Hilaire returns to the fold with two contributions, while Kode9 collaborator Spaceape also appears with his inimitable dub poetry. Other appearances come from NYC resident Infinity, Ras B and UK MC Coppa.
We haven't yet had a chance to listen to the record here at RA, but we are promised that the record will merge Moeller's "atmospheric dub techno grooves" with the vocalists' "deep and poetic lyricism" to create a collection of dub protest songs. We await the results with eager anticipation.
