The Hartnolls will play a headlining set next August at Eastnor.

Paul and Phil Hartnoll are set to reform for 2009's Big Chill festival.

The duo haven't played a live show together as Orbital for five years, but will reform for a special headlining performance at the Eastnor festival. In a statement to press, Phil Hartnoll has said "We've got 15 years of active service, making song. If you boil that down to a 90-minute festival set you should get something thoroughly exciting from beginning to end. Let's put some fun back into it."

He also preempted criticism about the reformation, saying that the decision to get back together is "not an exercise in nostalgia, the time just seems right. Everything just seemed to fall into place". The festival takes place over the weekend of August 7-9 at Herefordshire's Eastnor Castle.

Thu, 27 Nov 2008I remember coming home from a club in the early 90s and they were playing a live studio gig on MTV's Party Zone. Man the party went straight on....

I have seen them live 3 times since and each time was a treat.

Wed, 26 Nov 2008Sounds perfect to me! I love Glastonbury, minus the enormous crowds. I love clubbing too and Wild in the Country-style events (when they're not cancelled), but I also enjoy just wandering about, listening to good music and relaxing.

Crap, I'm getting old.

Tue, 25 Nov 2008Its a bit family orientated. Quite pedestrian, not a hardcore rave by any stretch of the imagination.

Tue, 25 Nov 2008Not convinced I could stomach the big chill again, even for Orbital!
