Joker to play Sydney

- Joker touches down in Sydney this Friday for a gig at the Void party. Known for his forward-thinking grime instrumentals, Hyperdub's Kode9 has described his music as "Wiley in an elevator with '80s group Cameo," which we can't help but agree with. He'll play at Friday's Void night along with Global Communication's Mark Pritchard, whose forthcoming album on Warp under the name Harmonic 313 owes an obvious debt to the sound of Rustie and Flying Lotus. So, if you like your beats wonky and your basslines heavy, then you could do a lot worse than heading down to the Phoenix Bar this weekend.
