UNsound - NYC

Norwegian duo Röyksopp are set to release the follow-up to 2005's The Understanding later this year.

Entitled Junior, the album will feature guest vocals from Swedish pop princesses Lykke Li and Robyn. Previous collaborators Anneli Drecker (Bel Canto) and Karin Dreijer Andersson (The Knife) also lend their voices to the project.

Fans who can't wait for the official Wall Of Sound release can grab a new Röyksopp track, "Happy Birthday," from the band's website, which was made specifically to celebrate the band's anniversary on December 15th. Otherwise you'll just have to wait until the release of chirpy first single "Happy Up Here," which is due on January 18th.

Tracklist
01. Happy Up Here
02. The Girl and the Robot
03. Vision One
04. This Must Be It
05. Röyksopp Forever
06. Miss It So Much
07. Tricky Tricky
08. You Don't Have a Clue
09. Silver Cruiser
10. True to Life
11. It's What I Want

Wall Of Sound will release Junior on March 23, 2009.comment 46 Comments

Thu, 06 Aug 2009'Röyksopp Forever''s chunky cinematism feels saccharine and outdated'?? I respect individual taste, but that song is a bombastic work of art for eternity. It can NEVER be outdated!

Agree with the Anneli comments...but overall, this is an amazing CD!

Sat, 27 Jun 2009Over produced for my liking - they've lost a bit of soul. Their earlier work is so much better - not a slant on Melody AM - that is timeless.

Sun, 26 Apr 2009what a crap seriously... royksopp used to be much better than this cheesy piece of pop.

Tue, 21 Apr 2009havent heard this yet but am sure too, cant agree that the understanding was better than melody a.m though? melody am is timeless in my opionion and cant see junior having the same effect?
