- The former DJ Naughty will release a debut full-length under his own name in February.
Filippo Moscatello, the man perhaps better known as DJ Naughty, will get theatrical in February when he releases his debut album under his birth name, Pagliaccio.
Moscatello has reportedly retired the Naughty alias and its electro trappings, instead focusing his attention on techno and house. That much is immediately clear on his Moodmusic disc, which does its best to keep the Italo and electro to a minimum. Even so, you can't help but hear traces of Mosatello's past shine through on tracks like "More Oder" where cowbells and honking melodies and a spot of acid pop up. That said, fans of Moscatello's new subtlety will not be disappointed: his refined anthem "World of a Woman," released under the name Naughty last year on Moodmusic, comes second on Pagliaccio.
